All of five star hotels are situated in the centre of St Petersburg, very close to main cultural and historical sights of the city. For example Grand Hotel Europe is located on Nevsky prospect, next to Russian Museum, Conservatory and underground station. Hotel Astoria, probably the best hotel in St Petersburg, is situated on Isaac Square opposite to Mariinsky Palace and St Isaac Cathedral. It is obviously, that St Petersburg five star hotels is not cheap pleasure. During the high season and White Nights rates in luxury hotels may start from 600 US dollars or more. The highest rate in Grand Hotel Europe for one night stay in Imperial Suite in Summer 2009 will reach 7 000 US dollars.
