Astoria hotel was amazing! If you want to experience something special and royal, then this hotel is just for you! I agree that it's luxury and quite expensive, but it's worth staying at least once. We were in St. petersburg in the beginning of September. The location of hotel is truly central, easy walking distance to Hermitage, St. Isaac's Cathedral and other sights. The dining at the restaurant was wonderful, beautiful restaurant. But there are a lot of nice and cheaper places to eat around the hotel. "Bremen" Restaurant on Bolshaya Morskaya is offering great fish, Greek Restaurant and Stroganov Steak House are at hand. As for the room - it was big and had spectacular view of St.Isaac's Square. There is also nice bar on the grand floor. We enjoyed our stay at Astoria Hotel!!!

I've just returned from Astoria hotel and was very impressed by it. The location was perfect and the room was very comfortable. The only disadvantage was that the food and drinks were a little bit expensive but very delicious.

I prefer to stay at memorable hotels, that would leave some long-lasting impressions about the trip. When I've visited St. Petersburg this summer, I've booked Astoria Hotel for three nights. The lodging was excellent, the hotel itself is charming, filled with much history and special character. The service has been great, including the concierge girl with very helpful advises and booking excursions. Breakfast was delicious and varied. The location is also fabulous, facing the Isaac's Square, few minutes walk from Nevsky Prospect (with many restaurants and cafes nearby). I preferred to have dinner mostly outside the hotel. One restaurant I liked most of all, very unusual, called "Flying Dutchman". The restaurant has amazing view of Hermitage and Bridge, the Neva River. The service is impeccable and the food is above all praise. The deserts were wonderful, chicken Kiev was great. I would advise the city visitors not to miss the chance to have an exploration of Russian Cuisine. Looking forward to returning back to Saint-Petersburg next summer :)

Astoria hotel - is rather pompous and luxurious. It's very convenient in terms of location. I've even invited my business partners to hotel and we've spent few nice dinners at hotel Restaurant - Davidov (the selection of wines was impressive). Front desk presented good English and was eager to help. The room was spacious, besides that, housekeeping was excellent. All in all, the hotel is worth the money and next time I would come back to Astoria hotel!

We went to Saint-Petersburg for 7 days and decided to book Astoria Hotel because we’ve been to other hotels from Rocco Forte Collection. The position of the hotel is great-it overlooks the Cathedral and locates in 5 minute to the main places of interest (the Hermitage, for example). The concierge was very helpful and gave us lots of good advices. The room was rather good but not luxurious. It didn’t worry us because we spent our time visiting attractions, the Hermitage Museum (it’ really worth seeing), Mariinskij Theatre (wonderful ballet Nutcracker or Shchelkunchik, in russian).

We just retuned from a 6-day trip to Saint-Petersburg. I with my friends stayed at Astoria Hotel right in the center of the city. The hotel is very beautiful and fully corresponded with my ideas about the buildings of this city. The location of the hotel is very good, that’s why we had a great opportunity to discover the center of the city in 5 days. The hotel restaurant is great but very expensive, so every day we ate and drank at a new café and restaurant-saved our money and closer got acquainted with the culture of Saint-Petersburg. Would highly recommend this hotel to everybody!

Always dreamed to visit St Petersburg, Russia and this time I've spent my Easter vacation here. Spring getaway with my friend was lovely. Unfortunately, the boat trips have not yet started in April; overall, the excursions were fully arranged for us. As for accommodation, I've chosen Astoria Hotel. Although the prices were a little bit high, I've received absolutely perfect service and best location. I've used spa area on the 7th floor of hotel for free and a swimming pool at Angleterre hotel. If you may afford a luxury hotel - then Astoria would be a great choice for you!

I’m a musician and visited St. Petersburg with my band for a jazz festival. I was recommended to stay at Astoria Hotel by my friend and was satisfied with my choice. It’s really a great accommodation experience – the special style and high level of service. I was upgraded easily and stayed at a lovely spacious room with the view of Isaaky Square. I wish I could stay at Astoria Hotel a bit longer… Anyway, I’m already dreaming to come back!

Astoria hotel became my favourite residence in St. Petersburg!
The accommodation was really great. My Suite was so comfortable and well-equipped. The location was amazing, because Astoria is located on Isaac Square among the numerous historical places. I discovered the city with a pleasure. I stayed there for 5 days but they were like one day. Impressions are very pleasant also because of high class service!!I am very satisfied with Astoria Hotel!

I'm from Greece and came to St. Petersburg to meet my business partners. I was lucky to stay at Astoria Hotel. Although the prices were high, I did not waste my time and money in the hotel. I used to pay much for real pleasure =) the location is about the best in the city, I had the view of St. Isaak's Cathedral from the window of my room. The Bar was a good one, with great variety of drinks. Sauna and Turkish bath helped to treat my body and nerves after long daily negotiations)))
I was surprised to find out that there is a real Greek Restaurant "OLIVA" just few steps from hotel where I was invited by my partners for dinner - a good place to taste Greek food and listen to Greek music, it was impressive!!!
